Hi, I have been doing some research on a half-pt. milk bottle I have and your site came up, actually only info I have been able to find. The embossed name on the bottle is Bevan's. It was in my Dad's things but we lived in Dixon, Illinois, and not sure how he happened to have it.
I explored the site and find it most interesting.

I have been searching for quite a few years for a Bevan milk bottle, the Bevan dairy was owned by my great grand parents and even with that being the case to my knowledge no one in my family has any Bevan milk bottles... I would be very interested in acquiring a bottle or multiple bottles, so if anyone who has one or might know someone who has one please contact me.

It is a shame that lack of leadership and corruption has destroyed our history.

I have an addition for you of people from Springfield. Richard "Dick" Evey played football for the Chicago Bears in the 1960's. He was born in State College, Pennsylvania but grew up here. He attended Clark Junior High and graduated from Springfield High School. Also, Fred Shaffer of Fred Shaffers Dairy was my cousin. I am excited about learning more about the history of my home town. The author of the book Ridgewood in the Country Club District is the granddaughter of one of the ladies from my church. Justin Chambers went to school with my kids, my son was batboy for Dave Burba's team when Dave was a kid, my son played ball for WBLY with Dustin Hermanson, Dustin's cousin was one of my daughter's best friends in high school and Rick White was the son of a friend of mine from the Northridge Jaycees. And my dad worked at Crowell-Collier. Amazing how small our world really is. This is a great site. Thanks for your hard work.
