Thank you for posting the post cards of Snyder Park. It was such a beautiful place and deserves to be beautiful again for all to enjoy.

Kristina, Came across this site while looking for James DeMint history. I am doing some ancestry work. My grandmother was a Dement and James was a distant relative. While looking at the "Finds of Springfield" I noticed the seed bag from E.J. Kitchen. My sister is married to a Kitchen and has one of the seed bags. looking forward to viewing the rest of your site. Thanks.

Anyone have information about Burks Monogram Whiskey that was brewed in Springfield? Interested in where and when this may have been bottled there as I've found some very old bottles and would like to know about their history. Many thanks!

I just came home from a two week visit to Springfield. I was very saddened to see the decay of the cities streets. As well as the lack of upkeep in the area parks. I find it very disturbing that more people aren't concerned and aren't interested in forming a grassroots effort to get something done to start preserving these keepsakes for generations to come.
